I. What is a letterform design?

A letterform design displays the various aspects of design (symmetry, emphasis, repetition, etc.) using strictly letters and/or symbols.,

II. What was your job as the designer?

My job as the designer was to create 9 individual letterform designs each following specific requirements and to combine the 9 individual designs to create one piece of artwork.

III. What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?

I faced different challenges throughout this project. One challenge was deciding which colors to use for the backgrounds of the art boards and for characters I used. Every single color decision changes the overall mood of the work. Another challenge was the font choice, font choice can play a huge factor in completing the requirements. We were limited to three fonts for the whole project and I focused mainly on Futura Bold because it is versatile and can send many different messages to the viewer

IV. Do you feel you successfully completed the project? Why or why not?

I feel that I successfully completed the project because I made sure to carefully follow all of the instructions in each of the designs and creatively display the requirements.

V. If you can change something about the project what would it be and why?

One thing I would change would be to add a freestyle box that doesn't have any conditions/requirements. The possibilities of a freestyle box for the designer are endless and would allow designers to create something outside of the box and unique.
