Graphic T-Shirt Design

What was your job for this project?

My job for this project was to design a T-Shirt to represent "Pig Headed Butcher Shop".

What was the design process you took to complete the project?Please list your steps below.

First, I made eight mock-up sketches on paper that could potentially be used as a design. After choosing three I liked the most, I designed them on Illustrator and created variations of those designs. Finally I was content with one final design.

What did you find most challenging about your design?

The most challenging part about creating the design was to remember that it cannot simply be just words, similar to a ligature logo, but to create an intriguing design for a graphic T-shirt using the words.

If you can change one thing about your design what would you change?

I wanted to use an actual pig's head somewhere in the design, but I could not design one that I felt had effective unity with the rest of the design.

What do you think makes a good graphic t-shirt design?

As stated in number 3, I believe a good graphic t-shirt design uses a variety of design features like octagons, rectangles and other shapes along with text.
